Volunteering Opportunities
Our green spaces offer a wide range of different opportunities to get involved as a volunteer. You can get active on our daily conservation and garden maintenance sessions, help deliver events and engage visitors about nature as part of our wildlife interpretation projects, lead sessions, take part in ecological monitoring of our amazing wildlife or help out in the office.
See below for roles that are being recruited for - and click to find out more. No experience or prior knowledge is required and all necessary guidance and training is provided. There’s a volunteer benefits scheme, while it is expected you can commit to volunteering for a minimum of once a month on average.
Our exciting interpretation programme delivers different events and nature based activities throughout the year. Our volunteers engage visitors, helping the local community make lasting connections to nature.

Our volunteer Session Leaders help deliver community, youth and school activities, alongside our walking programmes. Discover more about how to get involved in leading these programmes and develop your skills and knowledge.
Conservation Volunteering - CLOSED
Our conservation volunteers help preserve and enhance our green spaces for people and wildlife. Working alongside experienced staff they get involved in a wide variety of habitat management, estate maintenance, horticulture and environmental projects.
Organisations and businesses can organise team building and employee volunteering activities outdoors on our green spaces. There are loads of ways to get involved and contribute to our conservation work throughout the year.
Office volunteer - CLOSED
As well as outdoor roles, you can join our office team as a volunteer on weekends. Expect lots of variety and an opportunity to gain valuable experience helping coordinate our charity’s activities.
Wildlife Monitoring - CLOSED
We help deliver a varied programme of ecological projects to gather information on key wildlife species and help inform how our habitats are managed. We work with the Heath’s Ecologist and other local conservation groups to deliver these projects.
