Our Health Connections projects support people who would like to improve their physical or mental health through contact with nature. This can be simply to improve overall health or be part of a more structured social prescribing programme.
Partnership work and social prescribing
We work with partner organisations to create programmes of regular activities in nature, including habitat conservation, gardening, walking, nature mindfulness etc.
Spending time meaningfully in nature, getting active, and making a positive contribution to the environment are hugely beneficial for mental and physical wellbeing and have been shown to help those in recovery programmes.
We also engage with external charities and community organisations on green social prescribing opportunities on Hampstead Heath - view our case study video below or get in touch to discuss nature wellbeing activities for your group.
We have regular free health walks every week - no need to book, just turn up, find our volunteer Walk Leaders in hi vis vests and join in - find out more details (including the meeting points) here.
