Share your knowledge and passion for nature with others and help people discover more about the Heath's amazing wildlife and habitats. Be part of our exciting weekend interpretation and events programmes, engaging visitors and helping them make lasting connections to nature. Click on the button below to apply.

As a Wildlife Interpreter you will:

  • get out and explore the fabulous habitats and sights of Hampstead Heath

  • learn amazing new things about nature and develop your environmental knowledge

  • help us run events engaging the public with nature and our green spaces

  • use our fab interpretation bikes to run different nature-based activities or be based at our nature interpretation centre at the Kenwood Dairy

  • meet new and like-minded people and engage visitors of all ages

  • receive ongoing support and any necessary training, enabling you to develop your knowledge and skills 

We want you to:

  • be enthusiastic and passionate about nature or our areas of work

  • work well as part of a team and have good communication skills

  • be keen to share your knowledge, and want to engage others

  • attend volunteer sessions once a month as a minimum

Interpretation sessions take place each weekend throughout the year, and are led by our dedicated team of volunteer supervisors.
