Tasks
These vary according to the time of year, but are always outdoors, hands on and fun! Most groups are conservation volunteers for the day. Your day is tailored to your needs and can include:
nature conservation activities, habitat management and maintenance on our green spaces
environmental conservation and litter picking
teambuilding activities and volunteering
team meetings (combined with volunteering), use of our meeting rooms or conference facilities
projects linked to your company’s sustainability, mental health or other corporate priorities
graduate/trainee inductions and training days
supporting our work with community groups, disability charities and the general public
free use of our sports facilities (athletics, tennis, team sports), nature mindfulness or even a dip in our famous swimming ponds or lido!
festive team activities such as wreath-making
All groups receive:
full health and safety briefings and guidance throughout activities
expert supervision from our knowledgeable staff, including a guided walk
use of our volunteer hub and changing facilities
support for participants with additional needs
all equipment, tools and any equipment this is required
lunches, or other catering, can be provided upon request
obligatory tea, coffee and chocolate biscuits!
Costs
The cost is calculated per head, and is £45 for a half day, or £55 for a full day.
From 1st April 2024 the minimum cost for a corporate volunteering activity is £675.
Costs may vary depending on group size, additional requests, the time of year and catering requirements.
All charges go to cover the equipment costs, insurance and supervision associated with your day and support the Heath's volunteers working throughout the year.
